Howdy.
I love amusement park rides. Roller coasters and the like, nothing that goes in tight circles. As "Pop", I love to watch the excitement in my grandson's eyes when he takes his seat beside me on one of these rides. He is wiggling around from the anticipation of what is about to happen. Before the ride can begin, the attendant comes and makes sure we are all buckled in. My grandson always pulls his belt tight. He is normally giggling because although he is unsure of what exactly is about to happen, he knows he will enjoy it, and he sure wants to be a part of it. He happily pulls the belt tight, knowing good things are coming. That is the way we feel at PHBC right now. The GREAT BIG GOD we serve is doing some wonderful things in our midst. We are excited at the prospects of what is about to happen, not because of anything we are capable of, but because of what God is capable of. Because of the prospects of the future and our desire to be a part of what is in store, we have adapted the term "Buckle Up". Normally when we think of the term "Buckle up", the connotations are negative. We have been conditioned that we need to buckle up for safety in the event of a crash, buckle up to abide by the law, or buckle up because things may get a little bumpy. God wants His best for us. Hear me say that again. God wants His best for us. Just like I want to sit beside my little buddy and watch his joy on the ride, our Heavenly Father delights in seeing His children enjoy His best. Scripture tells us that "with God all things are possible". We at PHBC are excited for the future and the things we know are possible. We want you to come along side us and enjoy God's best. We have only the one suggestion.........buckle up. See you Sunday.
