PHBC Family Life Center - Terms, Conditions & Guidelines:
By submitting a request to use the FLC you hereby agree that you have read and understand the FLC guidelines as set forth by Peace Haven Baptist Church. Therefore, by submitting a request you acknowledge that the Family Life Center is a large facility capable of handling many events at once. Events may be double booked if another section of the facility is not in use. For example: the dining room and gym may be booked for different events at the same time. The Crisis Center (former youth area) is NOT included when using the FLC. If "gym" and "dining room" are selected, this does not mean the food pantry and clothing closet area is also included. Each individual is respectfully asked to only select sections of the facility that are needed for your event.
When using the Family Life Center (FLC) the person overseeing the event/appointment is responsible for leaving the building as it was found and observing the following guidelines:

TERMS: At present, the Family Life Center (FLC) is open to events for church members and their families. Area schools and non-profit organizations can request use of the FLC for events (school dances not included). SETUP NOTICE: If extra time is needed for decorating or "setup" please make sure extra days are reserved in order to allow time. Never assume the building is not in use. MEMBER/FAMILY CHARGES & FEES - Peace Haven does not charge church members and their families for use of the facility. AREA SCHOOLS & ORGANIZATIONS CHARGES & FEES - A Donation is preferred (but not required) when the facility is being used by area schools and organizations unless otherwise instructed, in some cases donations have came via providing food for our community food pantry. SUNDAY NOTICE: Events/appointments on Sunday can only be scheduled after 12:30PM. WEDNESDAY NOTICE: Event/appointments on Wednesday cannot be scheduled AFTER 5PM. NOTE: Conditions are subject to change without notice and events may be subject to Elder approval before being officially scheduled. All wishing to use the facility must read and understand the FLC guidelines located here. Failure to follow guidelines may results in a suspension of FLC usage for the appointed individual and additional cleaning charges depending on the post event condition of the dining room and gym. FOR PROFIT EVENTS: "For profit events" by "for profit" organizations and entities are strictly prohibited. SCHEDULING: Never assume the facility is not in use! When using the Family Life Center (FLC) the person overseeing the event/appointment is responsible for leaving the building as it was found and observing the following guidelines:
- Absolutely NO smoking and/or use of alcoholic beverages in the FLC.
- Only the lights, heat, or AC necessary for each event are to be used.
- The Food Pantry and Clothing Closet are to remain locked unless in use for the specific event.
- Flush toilets, pick up trash, wipe down counters & tables.
- Return the heat or AC/heat to an “as you found it” state.
- Return tables and chairs to an “as you found it” state.
- Sweep and mop all areas that were used.
- Place any EXTRA chairs/tables used back in their appropriate housed location. (Any that were not already set out.)
- Empty large trash cans into the dumpsters (behind the FLC.)
- Return dining room doors to a closed state if they’re propped open.
- Turn off gym, dining room, and rest room lights. (This does not include safety lighting.)
- Be sure all doors to the outside are locked and secured.
- Usage of the Crisis Center (former Youth area) and Closing Closet areas are not included when scheduling the building for an activity.
- Please DO NOT allow children to run and play on the stage, stage area, and sound equipment station.
- No one is allowed in the upstairs loft area (this is for safety/fire marshall reasons.)
- Treat & respect the facility the same or more than you would your own home or vehicle!
- Set the alarm system. (If Peace Haven church family member.)
Suspension of future FLC usage may occur if:
- Evidence of alcoholic beverage usage is found.
- Evidence of smoking inside the Family Life Center is found or sensed.
- Evidence of theft of church property is identified.
- Guidelines mentioned above are not followed.
- Proper cleanup of the facilities is not performed.
- The building has been reserved multiple times but not used. Peace Haven does not charge a cancellation fee. If you are unable to keep your reservation, please let us know so we can take you off the calendar.
Location of cleaning utensils:
- Mops, mop buckets & brooms: In the “double door” electrical room in the gymnasium or in the kitchen.
- Cleaning chemicals & dish soap: In the cabinet under the sink.
- Wash cloths: In kitchen drawer.
- Please use the large metal sink in the kitchen for washing large items.
