Favorite Bible Verses: 1 Corinthians 9:24-26
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.”
Favorite Person in the Bible:
Simon whose name was changed to Peter by Jesus Christ himself may be one of the most well-known members of the disciples / apostles. Just as the majority of leaders experience highs and low in the work place Peter himself experienced tremendous highs and woeful lows. Peter, who started as a lowly fisher man reached popularity as a leader which culminated with the Catholic Church establishing him as the first Pope. Peter failed Christ more than one time but the Lord still loved Peter.
Salvation:
I was raised in a Christian home and always believed in God, believed that Jesus was the Son of God, and I never believed we came from monkeys. But, I lived several years in rebellion of God and I spent several years knowing I needed to ask for forgiveness. It was not until I was 24 years old that I asked God to save me and He graciously did so.
Family:
My bride and I have been married for over 20 years and have two sons.
Fun Facts:
I have coached several different youth sports teams over the years.
Heart for PHBC:
Make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples…
