Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 10:13
"For Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved." So many times I hear people say they are not good enough for church or even for God to love them. This verse does not cut corners, it says EVERYONE! No matter what you've done or where you have been, God loves you and is waiting for you to call on him.
Favorite Person in the Bible:
Job. Job had it rough, what else can be said. But during his whole time of despair, he never turned his back on God and never cursed Him. When life gets tough, think of Job.
Salvation:
I will never forget it; you hear of people who hold the pews to stop from coming forward to receive Christ. That was me! An 8th grader that had known for a long time he needed Christ and knew what he needed to do. I remember that Sunday morning, Reggie Saddler and his family was singing and I don't remember what he said word for word but it was basically, "You know you need him, why are you holding back?!" Without even a second thought I jump up and headed to the altar. I never have regretted it. Have I been perfect since then? Absolutely not! But Christ has always been with me and has been faithful.
Family:
My wife, Misty and I have been married for 15 years. We were friends for 14 years before we began dating! Talk about the friend zone, huh? We have 3 wonderful "kids", Elizabeth (23), Trevor (21), and Natalie (11)!
Fun Fact(s) about me:
I am pretty much Wilkes county's cannonball man! CANNONBALL!
I think of myself as the PHBC's technology and media mad scientist. Always trying to figure out new technology for the church in order to maybe makes things a little easier on everyone.
Heart for PHBC:
Peace Haven has truly been my home and refuge since I was in 8th grade. I want PHBC to be the church that everyone knows is not perfect! That just like everyone else, we make mistakes. I feel we are one big family and when you step through the doors we want to make you feel the same way. I want people to see that there is much more to church than what they may see in the, "Bible Belt." Basically...loving, imperfect people wanting to show love to other imperfect people and tell them about Christ!
