Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 5:6-8
“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
This verse is so great Christ loved us enough that he was willing to die for us while we were still sinners that means I didn’t have to put my life together in order to earn salvation. I bring my nothing, and he gives me everything. That’s the beauty of the gospel that my worthiness is not taken into account.
Favorite Person in the Bible:
David considered a man after God’s own heart that doesn’t mean perfect the Bible is very honest about the failures and flaws of individuals in the Bible we see both their greatest triumphs as well as their greatest failures David had plenty of both. Despite his failure God still used him in powerful ways.
Salvation:
My story is in all honesty a bit boring I grew up in church had parents that pointed to God. I played the part of Christian for years but it wasn’t until my teenage years that really started to understand my relationship with God. I struggled for years with doubts and concerns of did I do it right, am I truly saved but the more I poured myself into God the more saw and understood that he is a faithful and loving God the more I understood the security I have in Jesus.
Family:
Me and my wife got married in 2014 we currently have 2 children Delilah and Toby as well as two on the way (yes twins)!
Fun Fact(s) about me:
I have a growing knowledge of all things coffee it’s not only my job a hobby and I have a growing collection of coffee brewing devices from espresso machine to French press and everything in between. I have a tendency of telling people way more about coffee than they ever wanted to know (so just know you have been warned ask at your own risk)
Heart for PHBC:
Back in 2009 I walked into Peace Haven as a 19 year old kid and I believe it was one of the best decisions of my life. While I can say I knew no one here when I first started here I have been able to make close connections with so many wonderful people that I have meet here. This church has help raise me and my family. I know with out a doubt God has called me to serve in this community of believers.
