1. It is a common occurrence when a pastor begins serving at a church that there is excitement and a renewal of the church's passion to thrive.
2. Don't start anything new at your church in the first six months. Just study people and the history of the church.

Well despite the many words of wisdom and proverbial sayings offered by the experts, God is blessing our new family at Peace Haven! I am amazed on a daily basis by how God is moving in the lives of people who are seeking Him. The wave of interest in the study of God's word, the call to do life together, and the call to be truly missional where we live are overwhelming at times!
A lady who had been a member for years approached me one Sunday asking if we were going to have an invitation. I told her that we always have an invitation, but it is not always a formal invitation. She then indicated to me that she believed that God was preparing to do something great among us here and she wanted to be a part of that!
What about you? We have adopted the saying "BUCKLE UP!" in our gatherings and on social media because we are convinced that God is up to something big! We don't fully know what this will look like, but people are renewing their walk with God and taking fresh steps of faith. They are sensing a fresh wind and a fresh fire of God at work in their lives and they are hungry for a MOVEMENT right here where they live that is a God-sized opening of the flood gates of God's mercy and love. So we challenge one another to "BUCKLE UP" and get ready for all that God has in store! Will you accept this challenge today?
