Favorite Person in the Bible
“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." — Romans 5:6-8
David: Considered a man after God’s own heart; that doesn’t mean perfect. The Bible is very honest about the failures and flaws of individuals in the Bible; we see both their greatest triumphs as well as their greatest failures. David had plenty of both. Despite his failure, God still used him in powerful ways.
My Salvation Story
My story is, in all honesty, a bit boring. I grew up in church and had parents who pointed to God. I played the part of a Christian for years, but it wasn’t until my teenage years that I really started to understand my relationship with God. I struggled for years with doubts and concerns: Did I do it right? Am I truly saved? But the more I poured myself into God, the more I saw and understood that he is a faithful and loving God the more I understood the security I have in Jesus.
