Favorite Bible Verses: Matthew 12:18-21
“Look at my Servant, whom I have chosen.
He is my Beloved, who pleases me.
I will put my Spirit upon him,
and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
He will not fight or shout
or raise his voice in public.
He will not crush the weakest reed
or put out a flickering candle.
Finally he will cause justice to be victorious.
And his name will be the hope
of all the world.”
Favorite Person in the Bible:
Eutychus in Acts 20 has to be one of my favorite people in the Bible not because of his great faith or accomplishments, but because he almost died in church, fell to his death during a worship service, and then was revived to serve God. I see the life of Eutychus as a mirror of my own as I have journeyed this life of faith.
I did not grow up knowing Christ or hearing the good news, but I started attending church when I was in Middle School because that was where the pretty girls were in our small town. God used a youth choir presentation to help me hear the truth about Jesus and seek more information. After I prayed to received Christ with the pastor, men from church and the community invested in my life by discipling me actively and helping me grow in my faith. God continued to open doors for the gospel in my life to the extent that I now preach the Good News at Peace Haven!
Lori and I have been married for 21 years since 1997.
I love to travel and am most in my element among people of other cultures, languages, and beliefs.
Heart or Vision for PHBC: That God would do such amazing things that there would be no doubt that it was him.
